When we got a look inside Sarah Sherman Samuel’s Tudor house last summer, the living room made us do a double take. Because atop the plush checkerboard rug, next to a pill-shaped console table, we spotted the Marisol chair she had recently designed for Lulu and Georgia. The shocking thing was, that piece was part of her outdoor collection—and now, it’s sitting pretty indoors.
As we head into spring 2025, this is our ultimate goal: to have outdoor furniture that looks so good, we want to bring it inside once the weather cools down. Fortunately, there’s no shortage of chic accent chairs that can withstand the elements for every single budget. Whether you want to spend $100 or are ready to invest in a serious overhaul, these outdoor chairs will get you the most bang for your buck because you’ll want to stick them next to your living room sofa come fall.
Outdoor Chairs Under $200
We can’t talk about affordable outdoor furniture without bringing up IKEA. The Segeron armchair is currently a cool $40 off, but we wouldn’t sleep on the brand’s Kloven deck chair or deep-seated Jutholmen design either. Another deal worth taking advantage of? Blu Dot’s Decade Lounge chair is temporarily marked down to $193 in a handful of hues.
Outdoor Chairs Under $500
Armless, wicker, rocker, wood—you can absolutely find an outdoor chair in any style or material you want for under $500. We’re currently loving the retro look of West Elm’s new Sorrento seating, but you can’t go wrong with Hay’s simple Crate chair or Article’s streamlined Urba piece.
Outdoor Chairs Under $1,000
If you want to spend a little more, we suggest putting your dollar toward hand-hammered wrought iron frames with charming details, breezy armchairs that swivel, or chic striped cushions that are big enough to barely squeeze two people.
Outdoor Chairs Under $1,500
Woven frames will never go out of style, which makes Anthropologie’s statement rattan Sienna chair and Serena & Lily’s traditional Tiburon lounger great bets for the long run. Vintage-inspired silhouettes like the loopy metal pieces in Rejuvenation’s new Buena Vista collection and Carl Hansen’s AH601 piece will also stand the test of time.
Outdoor Chairs Under $2,500
We can see it now: Montana Furniture’s sculptural Pantonova bench adding serious interest to a hallway, Soho Home’s Morena chair bringing a hit of pattern to the corner of a bedroom, and Arhaus’s Elio beauty fitting in nicely wherever you watch movies. Why buy covers when these picks will be ready to head indoors at summer’s end?
